Barbara FG is a French photographer, director, and musician based in Austin, Texas, recognized for her cinematic visual language, emotionally charged storytelling, and distinctive multidisciplinary approach. Raised on Île de Ré, a windswept island off the western coast of France, she developed an early sensitivity to atmosphere, composition, and narrative through the stark beauty of the Atlantic landscape and the rigor of an intensive classical music education. Deeply influential in shaping her artistic world was her father, Bernard Frigiere, a multi-talented artist, sculptor, painter, and renowned chef whose creative spirit left a lasting imprint on her creative vision. Beginning piano and upright bass at the age of five, she dedicated twenty years to musical training before graduating from the Conservatory of Paris in 2014.

Driven by a desire to expand her artistic practice beyond music, Barbara relocated to Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography and established a body of work that seamlessly merges the emotional language of portraiture, cinema, fine art, music, and Americana mythology.
